BC Transfer Student
For entry into University Programs - You must have completed at least 24 transferable university credits to be eligible for admission.
Students enrolled in a university program may receive transfer credit for up to 50 percent of their program. Credit is assigned based on an official transcript, and where requested, by course outlines and other supporting documentation.
The Admission Office assesses transfer credit for courses taken in an academic program at other institutions. Credit may be granted for specific VIU courses, or where direct course-by-course equivalencies can not be determined, 'unassigned credit' may be granted.
For more information about transfer credit policies and procedures, contact the Admissions Office at 250.740.6400.
For entry into Career/Technical Programs - Students in Career/Technical programs who wish to have transfer credit assessed must submit a form to request advance credit. These forms are available from the Registration Centre.
For more information about transfer credit policies and procedures, contact the Admissions Office at 250.740.6400.
