Simon Fraser University is the second largest university in BC. Its main campus is on Burnaby Mountain in Burnaby.  Simon Fraser University also has two additional campuses - The Harbour Centre Campus in downtown Vancouver and the Surrey Campus in the Fraser Valley.  Each of these campuses offers easier access for individuals working or living in Vancouver's downtown core or in the Fraser Valley. SFU offers a wide range of studies in, for example: Arts, Sciences, Fine and Performing Arts, Kinesiology, Education, Business, Engineering and Computer Science. Its newest additions include Interative Arts and Technology programs.

FACILITY/SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS: The Burnaby Campus houses student residences, a pool and two gyms, an art gallery and theatre and a student-operated radio station. The Harbour Centre and Surrey Campuses are directly on the Sky Train route. Services for students include: intramural sports and fitness programs; computer labs, a full range of health, personal and career counselling services; child care services; a (free) legal advice clinic; an ecumenical chaplaincy; a student employment centre; and a Student Society-operated pub and coffee house.

BC Secondary School (or equivalent)

BC Secondary School graduates who wish to be considered for admission to SFU must meet both general requirements and program-specific requirements.

Out-of-Province

Out-of-Province Secondary School graduates who wish to be considered for admission to SFU must meet both general requirements and program-specific requirements.

BC Transfer Student

You can be considered for admission as a BC Transfer Student if you have completed between 24 to 60 credits of course work.

For complete details click on the College/University transfer tab. You will then automatically be directed to the BC and Yukon sub-tab.

If you have graduated from an Institute of Technology (including BCIT) you will want to click on the Institutes/Technology schools sub-tab.

 

Out-of-Province Transfer Student

You can be considered for admission as an Out-of-Province Transfer Student if you have completed between 24 to 60 credits of course work.

For complete details click on the College/University transfer tab. You may then select the Canadian colleges or Canadian universities sub-tab.

If you wish to transfer from an Institute of Technology or College of Applied Arts & Technology you will want to choose the Institute/Technology schools sub-tab.

Mature Student

You may be given consideration as a mature student if you are at least 23 years old, are a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident, and have attempted less than 24 units of transferable course work.

International Student

International applicants may be admitted from secondary school, a college, or a university, or applicants may already hold a university degree.
