International Student Information
BC is a popular destination for international students who are seeking world-class post-secondary education and training combined with an exceptional quality of life. The province has an excellent selection of post-secondary opportunities offered by universities, colleges, and institutes. Visit the Education Planner Institution Information page for a map of these institution locations in BC.
Most of BC's post-secondary institutions have counsellors who provide advising services. These services can range from personal counselling and housing assistance, to help with study skills and program-planning. Check out this list of International Education Offices to find out which institutions offer various international student services.
Please note that while international students are welcome to apply to any program at BC's post-secondary institutions, it may be difficult to be admitted into certain programs due to a high demand by Canadian students.
Student Housing
Nearly all BC post-secondary institutions have housing offices that will assist students with finding accommodations. Visit the Education Planner listing of Student Housing for direct links to each institution's housing office Web page. International students interested in homestay opportunities should contact individual institutions directly through their International Education Offices. More information on housing and the cost of living in BC can be found in the Money Matters section on Education Planner.
