Douglas College
Overview

Douglas College is one of the largest public colleges in British Columbia, serving 20,000 credit and continuing education students each year. At Douglas you can select from over 500 university courses, nine degree programs, over 30 career programs, as well as academic upgrading, continuing education and award-winning customized training options.
In career education, Douglas is recognized for their programs in: health care, community services, criminology, music, performing arts, business, and physical education and coaching.
FACILITY/SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS: Douglas College has two major campuses in New Westminster and Coquitlam. Major features include gymnasiums and fitness centers as well as major libraries at both campuses. The New Westminster campus features two floors of modern student computer labs and a 300-seat Performing Arts Theatre. The David Lam Campus (Coquitlam) features the three-story Health Sciences Center with specialized learning labs and facilities.
General Admission Requirements (All Students)
You are eligible for enrollment at Douglas College if you meet the General Admission Requirements along with the specific admission requirements of your intended program.

BC Secondary School (or equivalent)
If you have BC secondary school graduation or lack one course for BC secondary school graduation you may qualify for admission to Douglas.
You must also meet the college's English Language Proficiency Requirement and the specific admission requirements of your intended program.

Out-of-Province
If you have BC secondary school graduation or lack one course for BC secondary school graduation you may qualify for admission to Douglas.

BC Transfer Student
You must meet the General Admission Requirements for Douglas College.
You may transfer from another institution with up to 75% of the credits required for a Douglas College citation, diploma, degree or university transfer program.
To receive transfer credit, you must submit an official transcript with your Application for Admission or Readmission along with a Transfer Credit Request form. A detailed course description may also be required before credit can be evaluated.
You are strongly recommended to request transfer credit at least four months in advance of your first semester of attendance. Requests for evaluation of credit received after this time may not be processed in time.
Out-of-Province Transfer Student

You may transfer from another institution with up to 75% of the credits required for a Douglas College citation, diploma, degree or university transfer program.

Other Student (including Special Consideration)
If you are a student with special needs and have completed a certificate or equivalent from a special program and have been in school for at least 12 years you may qualify for admission to Douglas College.
