Overview

The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) has a commitment to all areas of university activities, including research. Its programs and research are designed to be especially relevant to the needs of northern BC.
Classroom instruction is delivered at the Prince George Campus and regional campuses in Fort St John, Terrace, Quesnel and Wilp Wilxo'oskwhl Nisga'a.
Teaching centres are also found in Prince Rupert, the Nass Valley, Williams Lake, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Fort Nelson, and Tumbler Ridge, among others.
FACILITY/SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - The Prince George Campus was built in 1994 and is situated on a hill facing the mountains. The campus has a fitness centre, health & wellness centre (providing nursing services) and interfaith chaplaincy. On-campus residences are available for single students and on-campus child care services are available for students with children.
General Admission Requirements (All Students)
English Language Requirement - English is the primary language of instruction and communication at UNBC. Applicants must be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency in the use of English to participate in classroom instruction and discussion as well as complete written assignments.
